The Cloud County Community College baseball team will take advantage of warmer temperatures this weekend. The T-Birds have moved their home opener against McCook Community College to this Sunday, February 2.

Cloud County will now open the 2025 season four days early. The T-Birds and the Indians will play a single, nine-inning game at Lee Doyen Field in Concordia, beginning at 2 pm. The game will be streamed live on the T-Bird Sports Network.

The contest will mark the first meeting between Cloud County and McCook since 2017. The two teams split their doubleheader games in Concordia in both 2016 and 2017.

Cloud County will then play a road doubleheader against Kansas Wesleyan JV on Monday, February 3, beginning at 1 pm at Dean Evans Stadium in Salina.

Coming off the best conference division finish in program history, the Cloud County Community College baseball team has been tabbed as one of the preseason favorites to win the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference - West Division race, according to the preseason poll conducted by the conference's head coaches and released this month. The T-Birds garnered 71 points in the poll with two first-place votes. Barton Community College also received 71 points in the poll with three first-place votes. Neither team was picked to finish lower than fourth by any of the league coaches.
