Cloud County Baseball Shifts Dates, Locations For KJCCC Series With Hutchinson

CONCORDIA, Kan. - Working around weather and logistical changes that have come up for the latter stages of this week, the Cloud County Community College baseball team has swapped home games with Hutchinson Community College while shifting the four-game series back 24 hours to account for potential weather issues that are forecasted for this week.

Originally scheduled for a Thursday/Saturday home and home doubleheader beginning in Hutchinson, Cloud County will now host games one and two of the four-game set with the 17th-ranked Blue Dragons at Lee Doyen Field on Friday, April 19th. The change in date was made to avoid the potential for blustery wind conditions in Hutchinson on Thursday while the change in locations comes with both teams sharing city-owned facilities and needing to work around previously scheduled high-school games on Friday in Hutchinson. Games three and four of the four-game series will now take place at Hobart-Detter Field in Hutchinson on Sunday, April 21st with game times remaining unchanged as both doubleheaders will begin at 1 PM on their respective days.

Hutchinson currently leads the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference West Division with a 36-9 overall record and 21-3 mark in the KJCCC West. Cloud County is in a tie for second in the division at 31-13 overall and 15-5 in the KJCCC West, with Butler Community College also sporting a 15-5 conference record.

All four games will be live streamed this weekend with games one and two being streamed on the T-Bird Sports Network while games three and four can be found at the following link: Hutchinson Live Stream
