CONCORDIA, Kan. - With an expected cold front making its way across North Central Kansas Thursday night and lasting through mid-day on Saturday, Cloud County Community College head baseball coach Eric Gilliland has announced that this weekend's four-game home series with Marshalltown Community College has been pushed back one day and will now be played on Sunday and Monday.
Originally scheduled for a 1 PM start on Saturday, February 17th, the T-Birds and Tigers will now open their series on Sunday, February 18th with a 1 PM first pitch from Lee Doyen Field. Both games on Sunday will be seven-inning contests followed by games three and four of the series on Monday with first-pitch set for 12 PM on February 19th.
All four games of the series will be streamed live on the T-Bird Sports Network which can be found at www.cloudtbirds.com/tbirdsportsnetwork. The games will mark the beginning of a six-game homestand for Cloud County as the T-Birds enter a stretch with 10 of 14 scheduled contests to take place at home. CCCC is next in action on Thursday, February 15th with a split doubleheader at the University of Central Oklahoma JUCO Fest, with a 10 AM contest against Northeast Oklahoma A&M followed by a 3 PM contest against Coffeyville Community College at Wendell Simmons Field in Edmond, Oklahoma.
