The Cloud County Community College men's cross country program will compete in the 2024 Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference/NJCAA Region 6 Cross Country Championships on Friday, October 25, hosted by Cowley College at Kansas Veterans Home in Winfield, Kansas.
The women will run a 5k beginning at 10 am, followed by an 11 am men's 8k.
The Cloud County men's squad competed on the course at Kansas Veterans Home on October 12 for the 2024 Cowley College Region 6 Tiger Preview. Four runners represented Cloud County in the race. The T-Birds were led by
Ethan Ochana. The sophomore from Lenexa, Kansas turned in a time of 26:12.79 to place 24th overall. Freshman
Abdelaziz Benbrahim finished 35th individually in 27:05.86. Freshman
Barafa Abdulazis posted an 8k time of 27:05.86 to place 38th, while freshman
Cody Sharp rounded out the T-Birds to make the trip in 72nd place with a time of 30:23.73.

Following the KJCCC/NJCAA Region 6 Cross Country Championships, the T-Birds will have two weeks to prepare for the 2024 NJCAA Cross Country Championship meet, which will be held at Pole Green Park in Richmond, Virginia on Saturday, November 9.
