CONCORDIA, Kan. - With warmer temperatures forecasted for the end of this week, Cloud County Community College head baseball coach Eric Gilliland has announced that the T-Bird baseball team will kick off their 2024 campaign with a three-game home series against Des Moines Area Community College beginning at 1 PM on Thursday, February 1st.
Originally slated to be a two-game doubleheader on Friday, February 9th, Cloud County will now host the Bears for a 1 PM doubleheader on February 1st before concluding the series with a 1 PM contest on Friday, February 2nd. The three-game series will replace the doubleheader scheduled for the following week, with CCCC now scheduled to play just one game during the week of February 4-10.
All three games will be streamed live from Lee Doyen Field on the T-Bird Sports Network (www.cloudtbirds.com/tbirdsportsnetwork) as Cloud County will look to build off of last season's 37-23 overall record. Last season, DMACC went 31-25 overall under fourth season head coach Nic Mishler and will join Cloud County in opening their 2024 campaign with the three-game series.
