Cloud County Soccer Blasts Bethel JV 13-0

CONCORDIA, Kan. – The Cloud County Community College men's soccer team broke open for 10 goals in the opening 45 minutes of play to finish with a 13-0 shutout victory of the Bethel College JV team at Harold M. Clark Stadium in Concordia, Kansas on Sunday, September 1st.

Pushing their record to 2-2-0 overall, the T-Birds now hold a .500 overall record heading into Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference West Division play which begins Wednesday.

"Today was a good warmup for conference action which starts Wednesday" said head coach Charles Long in a post-match interview. "It was great to be able to play at home and on the turf at Harold M. Clark Stadium and more importantly to be able to enter conference action with a 2-2 overall record."

In total, four different players would score at least two goals in the game, led by Jelldrik Dallmann who scored the first two goals of the game including one in the opening 45 seconds of action as well as a goal in the 11th minute of action before finishing off a hat trick with a goal in the 51st minute to open up the second half. Heitor Moreira would add back-to-back goals in the 12th and 19th minutes of the game while Edson Betim (37th minute, 40th minute) and Thales Parimoscki (41st minute, 42nd minute) each scored a pair of goals on the afternoon.

Also scoring for the T-Birds in the Sunday afternoon matinee would be Felipe D'Agostini with a goal in the 25th minute while Davi Alves Dornelles (42nd minute), Shaqon Bryan (58th minute) and Yves Oliveira (59th minute) also scored one goal each in the match. Assists would come from Jackson Brown, Moreira (2), D'Agostini (2), Leonardo Velazco, Guilherme Franca, Predro Martinelli, Alves Dornelles (2), Rafael de Brito, and Norberto Vieira.

Cloud County would concede just one shot in the match that would be well off target while letting off a total of 42 shots in the game (25 shots on goal). The Threshers managed to earn just one corner kick in the contest compared to six for the T-Birds as an aggressive style of play from Cloud County led to the multitude of opportunities. Splitting time between the pipes for CCCC was Bruno Da Silva who played the entire first half while Vieira played the shortened 25-minute second half.

What's Next?

A trip to Hesston, Kansas and Hesston College will open up KJCCC play on Wednesday, September 4th with kickoff slated for 7:30 p.m. The match will kick off a run of 10-consecutive conference matches for Cloud County and a run of alternating home and road matches. Last year, the T-Birds would finish 10-1-1 against KJCCC foes, with their only defeat and tie coming at the hands of National Runner-Up Barton Community College. Over the past three years, Cloud County holds a 27-1-2 overall record in KJCCC play.
