Box Score CONCORDIA, Kan. - Led by three goals in the opening nine minutes of action by Izabella Christina, the Cloud County Community College women's soccer team earned a 6-1 victory over the York College JV team at the Cloud County Soccer Field in Concordia, Kansas on Wednesday, August 28th.
Notching their first victory of the year, CCCC improves to 1-2-0 overall after opening the season last weekend in Cheyenne, Wyoming against Snow College and Laramie County Community College.
In total, Christina would net four goals on the afternoon with two of the goals coming on her own while Isabella Bertossi and Maria dos Anjos Acassia would assist on her second and third goals. After a goal in the third minute, Christina would add a goal just two minutes later and finish off a hat trick in the ninth minute. Aroa Nieto would add a goal six minutes later in the 15th minute to give the T-Birds a 4-0 lead at hafltime.
10 minutes into the second half would see Christina cap off her four-goal performance with an unassisted goal to put CCCC up 5-0 and in full control of the match. York College JV would manage to get a goal on what would register as their only shot of the game a few minutes later before seeing Isabella Bertossi put a shot past the keeper to cap off a five-goal victory for the T-Birds.
Cloud County would outshoot York JV 35-1 in the contest while also earning six corner kicks while not allowing one to the visiting Panthers. 20 of the 35 shots for the T-Birds would come on goal, forcing 14 saves from the York College JV keeper in addition to the six goals scored.

The 2019 non-conference finale is up next for Cloud County on Friday, August 30th with a road trip to Crete, Nebraska to play against the Doane University JV team at 4 p.m. The match kicks off a stretch of three road matches in four contests for the T-Birds over the span of the next two weeks.
