Nick Lenhard was hired as assistnat men's basketball coach following the 2021-22 season.
Prior to joining Cloud County, Lenhard was the Director of NAIA Compliance and Game Day Operations while also serving as assistant basketball coach at St. Ambrose University. In his assistant coach role, Lenhard's primary responsibilities were defensive game plans, recruiting, and player development. Prior to St. Ambrose, Lenhard was the Assistant Director of NCAA Compliance at Castleton University in Castleton, VT where he would also serve as assistant basketball coach. While with the Spartans, Lenhard would specialize in defensive game plans and recruiting in the midwest.
A native of Falcon, Colorado, Lenhard played collegiately at Southwestern Iowa Community College in 2013-2014 prior to transferring to University of Maine at Presque Isle where he would play from 2014-2017. A three-year starter and team captain for the Owls, Lenhard would lead the team in assists, steals, and charges taken while earning his bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in management and leadership. Following his time at Maine-Presque Isle, Lenhard would accept a Graduate Assistant position at Castleton University where he would earn his Master of Science in Athletic Leadership in 2019.
