Ryan Ihle

Ryan Ihle joins the Cloud County Community College baseball coaching staff for the 2020-21 season. A graduate of Columbus State University in Columbus, GA, Ihle has spent the past three years with the Columbus State baseball team as a student assistant (2016-17) and graduate assistant (2018-2020). Emphasizing on hitters, infielders, and pitchers, Ihle would serve as the bullpen coach for the Cougars while also providing support to field maintenance and program operations including recruiting.

Ihle has also spent the past two years as an assistant coach for the Falmouth Commodores of the Cape Cod Baseball League where he helped the Commodores to the 2019 CCBL Western Division Title and best overall record in the regular season (27-15). Serving as first base coach and defensive coordinator, Ihle helped coach six all-league players and five all-stars along with the 2019 Thurman Munson Batting Champion Award and 2019 Russ Ford Relief Pitcher Award winners. While with the Commodores, Ihle oversaw the preparation, organization, and execution of baseball activities for a six-week clinic that the organization would put on which included activities for over 100 children ages 5-14. 

Prior to getting his coaching start, Ihle would spend his first two years of collegiate baseball at Colby Community College where he was a 2014 All-Conference selection at shortstop and would go on to become a First-Team All-Peach Belt Conference Selection, NCBWA and ABCA All-Southeast Region Second-Team selection and D2CAA First-Team All-Southeast Region to go along with D2CAA Third-Team All-American honors after hitting .404 with 19 doubles, five home runs, and 49 RBI as a senior. The Queensland, Australia native would also garner CoSIDA Academic All-American honors for his work inside the classroom and become Columbus State's first Peach Belt Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 15 years.
