Box Score The Cloud County Community College volleyball team battled through three sets but were swept by the No. 8 Colby Trojans, 15-25, 21-25, 23-25, in Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) play on Saturday, September 19 at the Colby Event Center in Colby, Kansas.

Cloud County (7-6, 1-3 KJCCC) was led by freshman outside hitter Karina Castellar who had six kills, four digs and a block. Freshman middle hitter Bella Ikard and freshman outside hitter Dora Kuburovic added five kills apiece. Ikard posted an .833 hitting percentage, while Kuburovic added three digs and a block. Freshman outside hitter Samira Bousri posted four kills and a team-best seven digs.

Freshman setter Giulia Todesco paced the T-Birds' offense with 20 assists to go with three digs, one kill and a block.

Defensively, sophomore libero Brooke Lougheed recorded six digs. Freshman defensive specialist Baylen Arnold added five digs.

Cloud County will continue its KJCCC slate when it hosts Dodge City Community College on Wednesday, September 23 in Arley Bryant Gymnasium. First serve Wednesday is scheduled for 6:30 pm. The match is scheduled to stream live on the T-Bird Sports Network.
