The Cloud County Community College men's cross country team heads to Winfield, Kansas on Friday, October 2 for the Tiger Ambush XC Open at Kansas Veterans Home, hosted by Cowley College. The men's 8k is set to start at 10:45 am.

The T-Birds last competed in the 37th annual Missouri Southern Stampede in Joplin, Missouri on September 19. Sophomore
Davis Miltner led the T-Birds with a 110th place finish in 27:08.5. Sophomore
Jesus Baltazar followed in 140th place with a time of 27:43.1. Sophomore
Nicholas Johnson placed 146th with a time of 27:50.5. Freshman
Maiwand Mohammad Rasool finished 168th with a time of 28:23.7.
Cloud County is ranked No. 21 in the Week 1 edition of the 2026 NJCAA Division I Men's Cross Country National Coaches' Poll, which was released last week by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Following the Tiger Ambush XC Open, the T-Birds will close out the regular season eight days later at the Fort Hays State University Tiger Open in Hays, Kansas on October 10.
Postseason for the T-Birds will get underway with the 2026 Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference/NJCAA Region 6 Championship on October 30 at The Ollie in El Dorado, Kansas. Last season, the T-Bird men finished fifth overall at the Region 6 championships. Finally, the T-Birds will wrap up their season on November 14 at the 2026 NJCAA Division I Cross Country National Championship in Huntsville, Alabama.
