Cloud County Men's Basketball to Play at Seward County Community College Wednesday

The Cloud County Community College men's basketball team plays at Seward County Community College in Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) play on Wednesday, January 21. Tip from the Greenhouse in Liberal, Kansas is set for 8 pm and the game will be streamed live on the Seward County Sports Network.

Cloud County (11-7, 6-6 KJCCC) is coming off a 94-64 home win versus Independence Community College on January 17. Sophomore forward Elidjah Savane and redshirt freshman forward Manasseh Stackhouse led the T-Birds with 17 points each. Freshman forward D'ontez Walker added 14 points. Sophomore wing Samuel Akot finished with 13 points. Sophomore guard Kuel Akot scored 12 points, while freshman guard Kam Williams had 10 points. Cloud County dominated the glass, outrebounding the Pirates 55-35. The T-Birds also matched a season-high with nine blocked shots.

The victory marked Cloud County's fifth-straight win. During its five game winning streak, the T-Birds are averaging 96.0 points per game and have a plus-19.4 scoring margin.

Seward County (13-5, 8-4 KJCCC) is coming off a 79-77 road loss to No. 21 Dodge City Community College on January 17.

Cloud County has won four of its last five meetings with Seward County. Earlier this season, the T-Birds won the first meeting between the two schools, 85-65, on November 19, 2025 in Arley Bryant Gymnasium. Cloud County is 2-3 in its last five games played in Liberal.

Cloud County averages 88.9 points per game and has a +11.4 scoring margin. The T-Birds pull down 44.7 rebounds per contest with a +10.9 rebound margin. Cloud County is making 47.0 percent from the field, including 30.4 percent from three-point range. The T-Birds also average 14.4 assists, 10.0 steals and 3.6 blocked shots per game.

Stackhouse leads the T-Birds in scoring and rebounding at 13.8 points and 7.4 rebounds per game. Stackhouse has scored in double-digits in four straight games, with two games of 20 points or more, and has registered four doube-doubles in the team's last six contests.

Coming off his third straight double-digit scoring performance and his 12th of the season, Savane is averaging 11.6 points per game on a team-best 60.3 percent shooting from the field. His 6.2 rebounds per game are second on the team.

Walker is next in scoring at 11.1 points per contest and he is second on the team in field-goal percentage at 59.1 percent. Walker also pulls down 4.6 rebounds per game.

Burnette leads Cloud County in assists (4.2 assists per game) and steals (1.7 steals per game). Burnette is averaging 9.1 points per game with 23 made three-pointers on the season.

Kuel Akot has made a team-leading 31 three-pointers this season. He is averaging 8.8 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game.
