The Cloud County Community College wrestling team opened Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) action with a bang on Wednesday, January 14, earning dual victories over Neosho County Community College and Fort Hays Tech Northwest. The T-Birds began with a 39-15 win over Neosho County. Cloud County then followed with a 34-22 triumph against the host school, Fort Hays Tech Northwest.

Overall, Cloud County tallied six wins by fall, one by decision and one by major decision. The T-Birds also recorded four wins via forfeit.

Sophomore Micah Cauthers and freshmen Brayden Hill, Jase Fitzmorris and Luke Potter all produced 2-0 records in Wednesday's duals.

Cloud County was also victorious in one of the two supplemental contests following the traditional duals.

Sophomores Roderick Brown, Gael Garcia, Omarion James and Jacob Vasquez, along with freshman David Holguin, each tallied victories for the T-Birds. James also recorded a victory in an extra match.
