Box Score The Cloud County Community College volleyball team dropped a three-set match at Southeast Community College in non-conference play on Monday, September 8 in Lincoln, Nebraska. The T-Birds, who earlier this season defeated Southeast at home in four-sets, finished the match with 21 hitting errors, seven service errors and six reception errors in fallingĀ 18-25, 21-25, 20-25.
Cloud County moves to 4-9 with the loss. Southeast Community College ups its record to 4-10 overall.
Sophomores
Carlie Carlgren and
Grace Rowland led the T-Birds with seven kills apiece. Rowland also added seven digs. Freshman
Zoey Sudbeck followed with five kills and two blocks. Sophomore
Iza Caroline da Silva picked up four kills and four digs. Redshirt freshman
Addyson Ogle handed out 11 assists with four digs. Sophomore
Reachert Chiquin led the team with eight digs, while freshman
Elizabeth Schuster served three aces.
The T-Birds will return to Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference play with a road match at Garden City Community College on Wednesday, September 10 at 6:30 pm. Garden City is 3-7 on the year and 0-1 in conference action. Two of their three wins are over Lamar Community College, a team the T-Birds swept earlier this season at the McCook Community CollegeĀ Labor Day Weekend Tournament on August 29. Cloud County has lost six straight to the Broncbusters since 2022. The match will be livestreamed on the
Southwest Kansas Sports Network.
