Cloud County Women's Cross Country Team Opens Season at 77th Annual JK Gold Classic

Opening the 2025 campaign with the 77th annual JK Gold Classic in Wichita, Kansas on Saturday, September 6, the Cloud County Community College women's cross country team had four runners finish the 5k race, led by a top 20 performance by sophomore Nontokozo Ncube.

Ncube placed 18th individually, running a time of 19:41.67. Ncube placed third among runners from two-year institutions.

Freshman McKenzie Baker placed 62nd as she crossed the finish line at 21:31.21.

Sophomore Rafiatu Nuhu was 81st overall with a time of 22:58.01.

Rounding out the runners for Cloud County was freshman Jade Williams who finished the race with a time of 26:04.64 to place 105th overall.

The T-Birds return to action on Saturday, September 20 when they travel to Lincoln, Nebraska for the Woody Greeno/Jay Dirksen Invitational beginning at 10:50 am.
