Box Score The Cloud County Community College volleyball team dropped its fourth straight match after Dodge City Community College defeated the T-Birds in three sets Wednesday, September 24 at the Student Activity Center in Dodge City, Kansas.
Freshman middle hitter
Elizabeth Schuster led the T-Birds with eight kills on a .571 attack percentage. Freshman middle blocker
Zoey Sudbeck added three kills on a .250 attack percentage. Sophomore outside hitter
Iza Caroline da Silva also had three kills. Sophomore setter
Ylvie Schmid had 13 assists and four digs. Sophomore libero
Beatrice Giusti led the team defensively with ten digs. Sophomore defensive specialist
Berkleigh Curtis added five digs.
With the loss, Cloud County has fallen to 5-15 overall and 0-5 in Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) play.
Cloud County will look to snap its current losing streak as they return home to host the Butler Community College Grizzlies in KJCCC action on Saturday, September 27 at 3 pm in Arley Bryant Gymnasium. The match will be held in conjunction with Concordia's Fall Fest, an annual celebration filled with a fun-packed weekend of events, booths, entertainment and delicious food.
Butler currently sits at 11-8 on the season and 2-4 in KJCCC play following their four-set road win at Garden City Community College on September 24. The Grizzlies have won three straight meetings against Cloud County, including recording a four-set win over the T-Birds on their last trip to Concordia on September 25, 2024.
