Cloud County Volleyball Hosts Southeast Community College, McPherson College JV for Home Opener Wednesday

The Cloud County Community College volleyball team plays its first home matches of the season Wednesday, August 27 as the T-Birds host Southeast Community College and McPherson College JV inside Arley Bryant Gymnasium. The match against Southeast begins at 2 pm, while the contest with McPherson College JV is scheduled for 6 pm.

Both matches will be streamed live on the T-Bird Sports Network. For live updates during the match, follow the Cloud County Athletic Department's X account @CCCCSports.

Cloud County went 1-3 last weekend at the 2025 Wrangler Ranger Round Up in Texas. The T-Birds fell to Panola College in three sets and fell once again to host Ranger College in straight sets on the opening day of the tournament. 

Cloud County earned a four-set victory over the Dallas College Mountain View Lions in their first match on Saturday, August 23. After the T-Birds squandered a lead in the first set, falling 22-25, Cloud County rolled through the next three sets to close it out in four, 25-16, 25-15, 25-23.

The T-Birds ended the weekend with a three-set loss to No. 20 Blinn College.

Sophomore outside hitter Grace Rowland leads the T-Birds in kills with 37 and kills per set at 2.85. Rowland also ranks second on the team in digs with 27.

Freshman middle hitter Zoey Sudbeck is second on the team with 21 kills.

Freshman setter Ylvie Schmid's 44 assists lead the team. Schmid posted 31 assists in Cloud County's win over Dallas College Mountain View.

Redshirt freshman setter Addyson Ogle is second on the team with 43 assists. Ogle currently leads the team with five service aces.

Sophomore libero Beatrice Giusti leads Cloud County in digs with 30. Sophomore Berkleigh Curtis and freshman Brooke Lougheed have 13 digs each.

Freshman middle hitter Elizabeth Schuster is first on the team in blocks with seven. Sophomore Tori Sanders has six blocks, while redshirt freshman Julieanne Sandoval has five.

Cloud County has won 12 straight matches over Southeast Community College dating back to 2015. The T-Birds won the last meeting between the two teams on September 20, 2024 in straight sets, 25-17, 25-20, 25-16.

Cloud County and McPherson College JV have split their last four matches. The Bulldogs claimed a four-set victory over the T-Birds on September 9, 2024, 20-25, 25-23, 17-25, 24-26.
