Box Score The Cloud County Community College men's basketball team scored 42 points in the paint but struggled from long-range, falling 75-62 on the road to Hutchinson Community College on Saturday, December 13. The loss marks the sixth in a row for the T-Birds, dropping their record to 6-7 overall and 1-6 in Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) play.

The T-Birds had two players score in double-figures, led by redshirt freshman Manasseh Stackhouse, who had 23 points on 11-of-18 shooting to go with 11 rebounds. Sophomore guard DJ Holloway tacked on 15 points, six rebounds and two assists. Sophomore forward Elidjah Savane helped out with seven points and 10 rebounds.

The Cloud County offense struggled from deep, connecting on a season-low 2-of-17 (11.8 percent) shots from behind the arc. Hutchinson hit eight treys and shot 51.7 percent from the field in the contest.

Hutchinson never trailed in the game, grabbing their first double-digit lead at 17-5 on a three-pointer by sophomore guard Kyrell Shaw with 12:26 remaining in the first-half. The Blue Dragons shot 57.1 percent from the floor in the opening half and took a 38-29 lead into halftime.

Hutchinson kept its lead intact throughout the second-half, growing the lead to 17 points on a layup by Shaw with 17:51 to go in the contest. The T-Birds would get no closer than nine points over the final 20 minutes of play.

Cloud County will return to action following the Christmas holiday break on Saturday, January 3 when they host Pratt Community College in KJCCC action. Tip-off is scheduled for 4 pm.
