Both teams traded points with the game tied at 45 five minutes into the second-half. Cloud County then went on a 19-10 run over the next ten minutes, bringing the score to 64-55 with 5:23 to play. Shortly after, Coffeyville trimmed the deficit to three points on a fastbreak layup by freshman guard Jack Sorrell, but the T-Birds stretched the lead back to seven following a pair of free-throws from redshirt freshman Manasseh Stackhouse and a finish in the paint by Savane.

The T-Birds then went the final three minutes and six seconds without a point. Coffeyville received two three-pointers by sophomore guard Konstantin Popovic, sandwiched around a dunk by Sorrell, to retake the lead at 69-68 with 40 seconds to go. Sorrell and sophomore Daniel Ntambwe sealed the win with free-throws in the closing minute.

Ntambwe finished with 21 points on 7-of-9 shooting and 7-of-10 free-throws to lead Coffeyville. Freshman Ke'Bari Lewis added 14 points, while Sorrell, Webb and sophomore Rashid Kuta chipped in nine points each.
