The Cloud County Community College men's basketball team opens Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) play by hosting the Seward County Saints on Wednesday, November 19 at 8 pm. The game will be played in Arley Bryant Gymnasium and will be streamed live on the
T-Bird Sports Network with Spencer Farha on the call. Fans can also listen to the game on NCK 94.9, with Austin McNorton calling the action.
Cloud County has won three of its last four games and five of its last seven contests against Seward County, dating back to 2022. The T-Birds and the Saints split their season series last season, with the T-Birds defeating the Saints 74-69 in overtime in Concordia before Seward County won 76-66 in Liberal.
Seward County is out to a 5-1 start to begin the 2025-2026 season and is under new head coach, Austin Downing. Downing previously spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Barton Community College. As an assistant coach with the Cougars, Downing helped Barton to an overall record of 86-19 and a national championship win in 2023-2024.
Cloud County is also 5-1 on the year and ended non-conference play with a 94-88 comeback win over North Platte Community College on November 15. The T-Birds shot over 63 percent from the floor in the second-half and scored 56 points over the game's final 20 minutes as they erased a 13 point deficit with under five minutes to play. The T-Birds ended the game on a 24-5 run over the final 4:43 to earn the team's third straight victory over North Platte. Freshman forward
Al Brooks Jr. led the way for Cloud County, scoring 28 points on 11-of-17 shooting. Brooks also recorded 12 rebounds, three assists, three blocks and two steals before fouling out of the contest. Sophomore guard
Syncere Burnette finished with 18 points, a team-high six assists, four rebounds and two steals. Burnette connected on three of Cloud County's eight made three-pointers in the game. Freshman wing
D'ontez Walker was also in double-figures, pouring in 16 points on 6-of-11 shooting to go with a game-high 13 rebounds.
Cloud County averages 98.8 points per game and have a +20.2 scoring margin. The T-Birds pull down 47.0 rebounds per contest with a +14.3 rebound margin. Cloud County is making 49.9 percent of its shots from the field, including 32.2 percent from three-point range. The T-Birds also average 9.2 assists, 12.7 steals, and 3.2 blocked shots per game.
Coming off his fourth double-double of the season against North Platte, Brooks leads Cloud County in scoring at 23.2 points per game on 60.2 percent shooting from the field to go with a team-high 10.7 rebounds per game.

Manasseh Stackhouse, a transfer from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, is averaging 12.7 points per game on 53.2 percent shooting. He also ranks second on the team at 6.7 rebounds per game.
Sophomore
Elidjah Savane, a returning All-KJCCC Second-Team selection, is averaging 12.0 points per game and 5.0 rebounds per game in 16.7 minutes per game off the bench for the T-Birds.
Burnette is averaging 10.8 points per game and a team-high 3.5 assists per game. Walker has started four games and is averaging 10.2 points per game on 62.2 percent shooting to go along with 5.5 rebounds per game. Sophomore guard
Kuel Akot has five starts and is averaging 8.8 points per game with a team-high 13 made three-pointers. Sophomore guard
