Cloud County Women's Cross Country Posts Two Top-Ten Finishes at Chile Pepper Festival

The Cloud County Community College women's cross country team delivered two top-10 finishes in the Prairie Fire Pepper 5K at the Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival in Fayetteville, Arkansas on Saturday, October 4.

The T-Birds were led by sophomore Mercy Angaamchaab who finished in third place with a time of 18:04.8. Sophomore Nontokozo Ncube followed closely behind in sixth place with a time of 18:25.1.

Freshmen Maureen Jepchirchir and McKenzie Baker completed the scoring for Cloud County. Jepchirchir captured a 22nd place finish with a time of 19:18.7, while Baker rounded out the scoring by finishing 68th with a time of 20:28.5.

The T-Birds will compete Saturday, October 11 in the Fort Hays State University Tiger Open in Hays, Kansas.
