The Cloud County Community College volleyball team continues its six-match homestand when they face Pratt Community College and Northeast Community College on Saturday, October 4 at Arley Bryant Gymnasium.
The T-Birds will take on the Pratt Beavers at 12 pm to open the triangular before closing the day against the Northeast Hawks at 4 pm. Pratt and Northeast will face off in the middle match, scheduled for 2 pm.

Kenadie Casanova posted five kills and five blocks to lead Cloud County. Sophomores

Zoey Sudbeck all tallied four kills. Carlgren added five digs, while Sudbeck and da Silva posted three blocks each. Redshirt freshman
Addyson Ogle and freshman
Elizabeth Schuster added two kills each. Schuster also recorded a team-high seven blocks, as the T-Birds out-blocked Barton in the match. Ogle notched a team-high 18 assists. Defensively, freshman
Brooke Lougheed led the T-Birds with seven digs to go with three service aces. Sophomore libero
Beatrice Giusti added four digs.
Carlgren currently leads the team with 112 total kills, an average of 1.87 kills per set. Carlgren also has 57 digs and 15 service aces.
Schuster has 108 kills on the year on a team-best .277 attack percentage. Schuster ranks first on the team in blocks with 47 and first on the team in service aces with 24.
Sudbeck ranks third on the team in kills with 79 and second on the team in blocks with 37.
Ogle paces the T-Bird attack with 240 assists, an average of 4.62 assists per set. Ogle has also tallied 87 digs and 20 service aces.
Freshman setter
Ylvie Schmid has 194 assists, an average of 6.06 assists per set.
Lougheed has provided 118 assists, an average of 2.23 assists per set. Lougheed ranks second on the team in service aces with 21 and second on the team in digs with 145.
Giusti leads the T-Bird back row with 228 digs, an average of 3.51 digs per set.
Saturday's match with Pratt will conclude Cloud County's first trip through KJCCC play. The T-Birds have won nine of their last eleven meetings with Pratt, but the Beavers won both meetings in 2024.
Pratt is 8-15 overall and 1-6 in conference play this season. The Beavers have lost three in a row after being swept by Cowley College, Colby and Garden City. Pratt's lone conference victory was a four-set home win over Seward County Community College on September 10.
Sophomore outside hitter Kiara Aristy leads Patt with 225 kills, an average of 3.13 kills per set. Freshman outside hitter Victoria Hepburn has added 129 kills, an average of 1.72 kills per set. Sophomore setter Kayla Houghtaling is averaging 4.37 assists per set, while sophomore libero Natalie Martinez leads the team defensively with 4.07 digs per set.
Northeast Community College enters Saturday's triangular with an 8-14 overall record. The Hawks are 2-5 on the road but have won two of their last three matches following a four-set road win over Central Community College on September 30 and a four-set win over Coffeyville Community College at a triangular in Arkansas City, Kansas on October 3.
Freshman middle blocker Rowan O'Keefe leads Northeast with 111 kills, an average of 1.71 kills per set, on a .243 attack percentage. Freshman outside hitter Alli Brown has 108 kills. Freshman setter Mckenna Jones leads the Hawks with 4.54 assists per set to go with a team-best 25 service aces. Sophomore defensive specialist Katie Borg has 241 digs, an average of 3.71 digs per set.
Cloud County has won its last two meetings with Northeast, earning a four-set victory over the Hawks at the RKP Invitational in Beatrice, Nebraska in 2021 before claiming a five-set victory over Northeast at a triangular in Norfolk, Nebraska in 2023.
