                     The Cloud County Community College volleyball team suffered a three-set defeat on the road Wednesday, October 29 to Butler Community College inside the Power Plant in El Dorado, Kansas. The T-Birds lost by set scores of 11-25, 13-25, 11-25.
The loss marked the ninth consecutive defeat for the T-Birds and dropped the team to 6-27 overall and 0-15 in Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) action. Meanwhile, the Butler Grizzlies earned their second victory of the season over Cloud County to improve to 19-11 on the season and 9-6 in conference play.
The T-Birds will close out the 2025 season on Saturday, November 1 at No. 6 Barton Community College. The Barton Cougars have won ten straight matches and have a clinched at least a share of their third consecutive KJCCC Division I title following a home sweep over Garden City Community College on October 29.
Earlier this season, Cloud County showed incredible effort in a three-set home loss to Barton, 22-25, 22-25, 11-25, on October 1. Freshman pin hitter 
Kenadie Casanova posted five kills and five blocks to lead Cloud County in that match. Sophomores 
Carlie Carlgren and 
Iza Caroline da Silva and freshman 
Zoey Sudbeck all tallied four kills. Carlgren added five digs, while Sudbeck and da Silva posted three blocks each. Redshirt freshman 
Addyson Ogle and freshman 
Elizabeth Schuster added two kills each. Schuster also recorded a team-high seven blocks, as the T-Birds out-blocked Barton in the match. Ogle notched a team-high 18 assists. Defensively, freshman 
Brooke Lougheed led the T-Birds with seven digs to go with three service aces. Sophomore libero 
Beatrice Giusti added four digs.
The match between the T-Birds and the Cougars is set for 6 pm November 1 from Fleske Fieldhouse in Great Bend, Kansas.
