Box Score 2 The Cloud County Community College volleyball team competed in its final triangular of the 2025 season on Monday, October 13, taking part in the Pratt Triangular hosted by Pratt Community College. The T-Birds opened the day by losing in four sets to Pratt in Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) play, before dropping a non-conference tilt to McPherson College JV in five sets.
The T-Birds opened the day with a four-set loss to Pratt, 19-25, 18-25, 25-23, 22-25. The defeat marked Cloud County's fourth straight loss to the Beavers, including their second this seasonÂ
In their second match of the day, the T-Birds jumped out to a two set lead before suffering a five set loss to McPherson College JV, 25-18, 25-19, 22-25, 19-25, 10-25. Freshman middle hitter
Elizabeth Schuster tallied a team-high 16 kills on a .469 attack percentage. Freshman middle blocker
Zoey Sudbeck finished with 14 kills to go with five digs and and three blocks. Redshirt freshman
Julieanne Sandoval and freshman
Kenadie Casanova chipped in six kills each. Sandoval also had five block assists, while Casanova added two blocks and three digs.
Freshman setter
Ylvie Schmid contributed 47 assists and nine digs.
Sophomore libero
Beatrice Giusti led the team with 24 digs. Freshman defensive specialist
Brooke Lougheed added 18 digs, while sophomore
Carlie Carlgren had 12 digs.
Up next, Cloud County hits the road once more for a non-conference match against the Central Community College Raiders in Columbus, Nebraska on Wednesday, October 15. The Raiders are currently 13-13 overall and have won three of their last four matches entering Wednesday's contest. Central Community College has won six straight meetings over Cloud County, dating back to 2021. Cloud County's last win in Columbus, Nebraska came on September 9, 2021, a five-set T-Birds victory. First serve of Wednesday's match is set for 6 pm from Raider Field House.
