The Cloud County Community College men's basketball team returns home to host Dodge City Community College on Saturday, January 25. Tip from Arley Bryant Gymnasium is set for 4 pm with

Cloud County is coming off a 76-66 road loss to Seward County Community College on January 22. The T-Birds led by five points at the intermission but were outscored by the Saints by a 42-27 margin in the second-half. Four players finished in double-figures for Cloud County, led by freshman forwardÂ
Elidjah Savane with 17 points and a game-high 11 rebounds for his eighth double-double on the year. Savane has posted double-doubles in three consecutive games and five of the last six contests for the T-Birds. Freshmen guardsÂ

Kuel Akot contributed 14 points each with both drilling four three-pointers on the night. Burnette also had a game-high five assists. SophomoreÂ
Fallou Koite added three treys of his own to finish with 13 points and five rebounds.
Cloud County is 10-9 on the season and 4-9 in Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference play. Dodge City is 6-13 overall and 3-10 in KJCCC action. The Conquistadors have lost three straight following a road loss to Coffeyville and home defeats to Hutchinson and Garden City.
The T-Birds have won back-to-back games and three of the last five meetings in their series with Dodge City. In their first meeting this year, Cloud County made 16 shots from three-point range in a 101-90 victory at Dodge City on November 23, 2024. The T-Birds scored 48 of its 101 points from behind the arc, with the 101 points marking the most points that a Cloud County men's basketball team has scored in a conference game since a 101-69 win over Colby on March 1, 2023. The T-Birds ended the game 30-of-65 (46.2 percent) overall, 16-of-32 (50.0 percent) from three-point range, and 25-of-33 (75.8 percent) from the free-throw line. Akot tallied 20 points on 6-of-11 shooting with four made three-pointers.
Koite notched 17 points on 4-of-8 shooting off the bench, including a 3-of-6 effort from behind the arc and 6-of-8 from the free-throw line. Redshirt freshmanÂ
Keyon Garrett-Miller had 15 points and a team-high six assists.
Savane collected a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds to go along with three blocked shots.
The T-Birds are 4-4 at home this season, while Dodge City is 5-3 on the road.
