The Cloud County Community College wrestling team returned to the mats on Friday, January 10 and Saturday, January 11, competing in the 2025 National Junior College Athletic Association Coaches Association Duals, hosted by Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College in Miami, Oklahoma. The T-Birds entered the duals ranked No. 24 in the first NJCAA Wrestling Rankings of the 2024-2025 season.
Competing in Pool D, Cloud County went 0-4. In the T-Birds' first dual of the weekend, Cloud County fell 42-11 to Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa. Cloud County then suffered a 50-3 loss to Northwest College before dropping a dual by the score of 48-0 to No. 3 Clackamas Community College. The T-Birds closed out pool competition with a 36-24 loss to No. 7 Triton College.
In their final dual of the competition, Cloud County fell 42-16 to Big Bend Community College.
With an 0-5 performance through the five duals, the T-Birds now sit at a 2-7 dual record for the 2024-25 season.
Cloud County wrestling begins its Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference dual schedule when they head to Parsons, Kansas for a tri-dual with No. 9 Pratt and No. 13 Labette on Wednesday, January 15.
