The T-Birds (3-7, 0-2) come into Monday's home opener after dropping back-to-back matches to open Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference play. Cloud County opened conference play with a three-set loss to No. 7 Colby Community College on Wednesday, September 4, falling 13-25, 16-25, 20-25, before dropping a hard-fought four-set road match up to Seward County Community College on Saturday, September 7, losing 15-25, 21-25, 25-17, 22-25.

A month later, Cloud County defeated McPherson College JV at a home triangular, 25-12, 21-25, 25-14, 25-13. The last time McPherson College JV topped Cloud County was in a tight five-set road match on October 1, 2018.
Cloud County will be looking to defend their home court, as the team had an 8-5 record at home last season. Seven of the team's next eight matches will be played inside Arley Bryant Gymnasium.
McPherson College JV will play a total of six matches against Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference schools this season. Following Monday's match with Cloud County, the Bulldogs will take on Allen County Community College on Sept. 20; Cowley College on Oct. 4; Pratt Community College on Oct. 7; Hutchinson Community College on Oct. 21; and another match with Pratt on Oct. 28.
