The Cloud County Community College volleyball team will take on the Seward County Saints in a Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference match on Saturday, September 7.
First serve is scheduled for 6:30 pm from the Greenhouse in Liberal, Kansas. Fans can tune in to the

The T-Birds are looking to bounce back from a midweek road loss to No. 7 Colby Community College on September 4 in their Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference opener. Cloud County lost in straight sets to the 8-1 Trojans, 13-25, 16-25, 20-25. Sophomore
Bradie Medina picked up three kills and six digs. Sophomore
Kloe Waymel added three kills. Sophomore
Ashley Suter provided five digs and four assists. Freshman
Berkleigh Curtis lifted a team-high eight digs. Freshman
Maria Clara Lopes Miranda dished out five assists to go along with three digs. Freshmen
Grace Rowland and
Karoline Schroeder each had two kills.
Cloud County is 3-6 overall and 0-1 in conference play, while the Saints are 3-7 overall and 0-1 in conference action. Seward County is coming off a three-set home loss to Hutchinson Community College on September 4, 21-25, 18-25, 18-25.
Two of Seward County's three wins this season are against Casper College. The Saints recorded victories over Casper in the McCook Invitational in McCook, Nebraska and in the Springhill Suites by Marriott Cheyenne Invitational in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Seward County returns four players from a year ago, including middle hitters Marcelina Pyka of Przezchlebie, Poland and Lajla Rasljanin of Sarajevo, Bosnia, defensive specialist Lisa Gomez of Pereira, Colombia, and setter Keala Wilson of Bennington, Kansas. Wilson ranked second on the team in kills as a freshman with 242. Sophomore transfer and Liberal native Lizzy Cisneros, a defensive specialist, has joined the team this year after serving as the primary libero for Pratt Community College in 2023.
