The Cloud County Community College volleyball team is set to host Otero Junior College and Southeast Community College in a non-conference triangular on Friday, September 20 in Arley Bryant Gymnasium.
The T-Birds (3-11, 0-5 KJCCC) will start the day with a match against Otero Junior College at 2 pm. This contest will be broadcast on the
T-Bird Sports Network, as will their second match that day, where they'll take on Southeast Community College at 6 pm. Fans can also follow along with live updates via the Cloud County Athletic Department's social media accounts.
Cloud County is coming off a midweek loss to Hutchinson, which occurred on Wednesday, September 18 in Hutchinson. The T-Birds battled down the stretch, but ultimately fell in four sets to the Blue Dragons, 8-25, 13-25, 26-24, 16-25. SophomoreÂ
Bradie Medina posted a team-high nine kills and 11 digs. SophomoreÂ
Kloë Waymel added five kills and four blocks, including one solo block. SophomoreÂ
Emery May had five kills, three block assists and three digs. FreshmanÂ
Karoline Schroeder collected five kills and two block assists, while freshmanÂ
Carlie Carlgren finished with three kills, three digs and two block assists. FreshmanÂ
Maria Clara Lopes Miranda tallied 15 assists, three digs, two service aces and two block assists. SophomoreÂ
Ashley Suter added nine assists. FreshmanÂ
Reachert Chiquin chipped in six digs. FreshmanÂ
Grace Rowland provided two kills and five digs, while freshmenÂ

Beatrice Giusti each added three digs.
Currently, Medina leads the T-Birds with her 2.98 kills per set average and 152 total kills so far. Medina also tops the team leaderboard in digs with 221, an average of 4.33 digs per set. May leads the way in the blocks category with 44. Waymel is the team-leader in service aces with 23, with Medina close behind with 19 so far. Suter has the most assists with 209, an average of 4.75 assists per set.
The Otero Junior College Rattlers currently posts a record of 3-15, including 0-2 on the road and 3-10 in neutral site matches. The Southeast Community College Bobcats are 3-9 overall, including 2-7 on the road and 1-0 in neutral site matches.
Otero and Southeast Community College will face each other at 4 pm.
