Box Score The Cloud County Community College volleyball team dropped a midweek road match against the No. 18 ranked Central Community College Raiders on Wednesday, August 28.
Central Community College took the first set 25-20 and the second set 25-11 to take an early 2-0 match lead.
The T-Birds continued to fight, winning a thrilling third set 33-31 to force the match into a fourth set.
In the fourth set, the Raiders gained back control, winning 25-17 to take the match 3-1.
The loss drops Cloud County to 0-4 on the season.
Sophomore
Bradie Medina led Cloud County with 12 kills and 21 digs. Freshman
Karoline Schroeder had 11 kills while freshman
Grace Rowland contributed eight kills and six block assists. Sophomore
Emery May had five kills and two block assists. Sophomore
Tara Rajkovic also posted five kills, three digs and two block assists. Freshman
Reachert Chiquin tallied 19 digs. Freshman setter
Maria Clara Lopes Miranda stood out with 13 assists and 10 digs.
Savana Krupicka, another freshman setter, added 12 assists and 4 digs, while sophomore
Ashley Suter finished with eight assists and four digs.
Cloud County will use Thursday, August 29 as a travel day as the team makes another trip to the Lone Star State for the Cisco College Wrangler Ranger Round Up in Cisco, Texas. Cloud County will play Coastal Bend College and Cisco College on Friday, August 30, before taking on Seminole State College and Western Texas College on Saturday, August 31.
