The Cloud County Community College volleyball team is set to host two non-conference opponents on Wednesday, October 23.

The T-Birds (5-19, 0-13 KJCCC) will open the day at 3 pm against the Central Christian College JV Tigers, an NAIA school out of the Sooner Athletic Conference. The Tigers are under fourth year head coach Rick Hughes. Prior to coming to Central Christian in the spring of 2020, Coach Hughes had twenty-three years of coaching volleyball at many different levels, including NCAA Division II, NJCAA Division I, high school, and club.

Cloud County will face Central Community College out of Columbus, Nebraska at 6 pm Wednesday. The Raiders enter the match 16-15 overall, which includes a four-set win over Cloud County at home on August 29 by set scores of 20-25, 11-25, 33-31, 17-25. The Raiders were crowned Region 9 champions in 2023 and have won eight of their last ten meetings with Cloud County, including five consecutive victories dating back to the 2021 season.

Cloud County comes into the day after putting together back-to-back competitive Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference matches. The T-Birds fell just short in a five-set road conference battle with Garden City on October 16, before pushing Hutchinson Community College to the brink before losing in a tight four-set contest at Arley Bryant Gymnasium in Concordia on October 19.
