CONCORDIA, Kan. - Due to recent rainfall amounts both locally and across the state of Kansas, the Cloud County Community College baseball and softball teams have made changes to this weekend's schedule for the T-Birds.
Baseball was originally scheduled to play Pratt at home in a 1 p.m. doubleheader on Thursday, March 25th, but will push the series opener back a day to Friday, March 26th while swapping locations to Pratt. Saturday's doubleheader that was scheduled to be played in Pratt will now take place at Lee Doyen Field in Concordia on Sunday, March 28th as the T-Birds and Beavers will square off in Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference action.
Changes to the CCCC softball schedule for this weekend revolve around the originally scheduled home doubleheader between Cloud County and number nine-ranked Highland Community College on Thursday, March 25th as the games have been postponed due to unplayable field conditions. The T-Birds and Scotties will make the games up on Tuesday, March 30th with a 2 p.m. doubleheader in Concordia as the Cloud County at Allen doubleheader originally scheduled for the 30th in Iola has been postponed due to health and safety protocols set forth by the KJCCC. The postponements and changes do not affect Saturday's road doubleheader for the T-Birds as CCCC will travel to Overland Park, Kansas to take on number-11 Johnson County Community College at 1 and 3 p.m.
Per fan attendance policies at Pratt, only 100 fans will be allowed to attend Friday's doubleheader at Stanion Field in Pratt with social distancing measures in effect. At this time, Johnson County Community College is not allowing visiting fans to attend any Cavalier home events which includes Saturday's softball doubleheader.
If any other schedule changes occur throughout the spring for any Cloud County athletics teams, they will be announced as they happen on
