Box Score CHANUTE, Kan. – Shooting over 50 percent from the field in the second half, the Cloud county Community College men's basketball team would put up 52 points in the second half but be unable to mount a comeback in a 91-85 road defeat to Neosho County Community College in Chanute, Kansas on Wednesday, February 19th.
With Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference play now complete for Cloud County, the T-Birds fall to 9-20 overall and 3-17 in the KJCCC while the Panthers improved to 11-18 overall and 6-13 in conference play.
The difference in the game would come in the first half as Cloud County would shoot jut 37.5 percent (12-of-32) from the field in the opening 20 minutes while seeing Neosho go 15-for-29 (51.7 percent) on field goals in the first half to grab a 40-33 halftime lead. CCCC would respond by hitting on 20-of-37 (54.1 percent) of their shots in the second-half but see another hot shooting performance from NCCC go 58.6 percent (17-for-29) from the field in the second half as both teams would score over 50 points in the final 20 minutes. Cloud County would hold a 32-25 advantage in rebounds in the game and force six of Neosho's 11 turnovers as both teams would record two blocks in the contest.
Big nights from sophomores Jay Lewis (25 points, eight assists) and Iyen Enaruna (24 points) would account for over half of the points scored by the T-Birds on the evening while Chad Vincent-Simon would add 16 points and five rebounds in 27 minutes of action. Kendall Sutton would add 10 points off the bench and grab three rebounds to give Cloud County four players in double-figures as CCCC would have to try and combat five Panther players reaching double-figures.

Sophomore night and the final home game of the year will come in the regular-season finale for the T-Birds who will host Iowa Western on Friday, February 21st at 6 p.m. The Reivers are 16-13 overall following a 102-91 win over North Central Missouri on Wednesday night to close out their home portion of the 2019-20 schedule.
