Box Score IOLA, Kan. – Looking for a victory in their regular-season road finale, the number 11 ranked Cloud County Community College volleyball team would be unable to hold off host Allen Community College in a five-set defeat on Wednesday, October 23rd.
Cloud County is now 21-7 overall and 4-5 in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Community College Conference after dropping back-to-back matches for the first time all season while the Red Devils improved to 4-5 in the KJCCC and 18-12 overall.
After taking the first set by a score of 25-16, Allen would respond to take the second set over the T-Birds by a score of 25-21. CCCC would manage to reclaim a match lead at 2-1 following a set three victory by a score of 25-19, but once again see ACC respond by taking the fourth set by a score of 25-19. In the fifth and final set, Cloud County would be unable to string together enough points to win the match as the Red Devils would defend their home court and take the set 15-11 to earn a come-from-behind match victory.
