T-Birds go 0-2 in triangular, hosted by No. 2 Iowa Western

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa-- The Cloud County Community College volleyball team lost each game of Friday's non-conference triangular in Council Bluffs, Iowa as the T-Birds fell in straight sets to No. 2 ranked Iowa Western Community College and Central Community College-Columbus.

Cloud County (3-12 overall, 0-4 KJCCC) started the afternoon off with the nationally ranked Reivers (12-0 overall), who were as advertised as they hit .412 for the match en route to a 25-15, 25-10 and 25-17 win.

Sophomore middle hitter Elizabeth Nobert led all Cloud players with eight kills. Freshman libero Britt Michaelis tallied nine digs.

In the nightcap, Cloud fell 25-16, 25-12 and 25-18 to Central Community College-Columbus. Freshman setter Kamryn Stark finished with 12 kills, while sophomore Irem Bat had a good night, defensively, with three block assists and two solo blocks. 

Offensively, Nobert again paced all T-Birds with five kills.

Cloud County will resume Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference action at 6:30 p.m. on the road against Dodge City.
