Box Score 2 The Cloud County Thunderbirds dropped their fourth straight contest on Wednesday night at Southeast Community College. Southeast cruised past the T-Birds 66-49.
Cloud fell behind early and struggled to get anything going offensively. The T-Birds held the Storm to 66 points and just 37% shooting but it came on an off night as Cloud failed to connect on a three point bucket all night (0-13) and shot just 27%.
Southeast jumped out to a 13-3 lead and extended their lead to 17 as they led 36-19 at half. The T-Birds crawled within 13 at the 12 minute mark trailing the Storm 46-33 but would never get any closer. Southeast pulled away won by the score of 66-49.
Demonte Ojinnaka led Cloud County with 12 points. Dejuan Sherman and Henry Cornelious added 10 each. Duby Maduegbunam had 8 points and 10 rebounds. Cardarius Williams pulled down 13 rebounds.
Cloud outrebounded the Storm 46-40 on the night.
The Thunderbirds have one more contest before Christmas break. Cloud will host Neosho on the afternoon of Sunday, December 13th. The women will tip at 2:00 pm and the men will follow.
