Cody Cole is in his fourth season as head coach of the Cloud County Community College wrestling team after being hired on May 30, 2017 as the Assistant Coach and promoted to Head Coach on November 28, 2017 for Cloud County's inaugural wrestling season.

In his first three years at the helm of the T-Birds, Cole has coached 18 national qualifiers and one West-Central District Champion (Austin Eldredge). Eldredge, along with Noah Aziere would become the first two All-Americans in program history as the T-Birds would finish 14th in the nation at the 2019 NJCAA National Championships. Cole has also coached four All-KJCCC wrestlers in Eldredge (2019), Aziere (2018), Benny Hernandez (2019), and Alec Castillo (2018).

A native of Brush, Colorado, Cole comes to Concordia after spending three years as a high school coach in the Greeley, Colorado area at University High School (2014-16) and Platte Valley High School (2016-17).

During his two years at University, Cole helped rebuild a Bulldogs program that sent three wrestlers to state tournament in 2014-15 with two place winners; the first time in over a decade that University had two wrestlers place at the state tournament.

Success continued at Platte Valley as Cole coached eight state qualifiers, four of which were place winners en route to a six-place team finish.

Cole is a 2013 graduate from Western State Colorado University (Gunnison, CO.), earning a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He is currently receiving his master’s in Special Education through Grand Canyon University.

On the mat, Cole was a three-year starter for the Mountaineers under legendary head coach, Miles Van Hee. He would go on to be a three-time letter winner, a two-time Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Super Region 4 qualifier, and member of the Western State’s RMAC championship team in 2009.

He and his wife Nikki, and their two sons Easton and Evan, reside in Concordia.

Cody’s mother and father, Shane and Lisa Cole reside in Brush, Colorado. He has two brothers in Conrad, a graduate assistant wrestling coach at Ottawa University, and Colin, who is a wrestler at Fort Hays State University.
