Braedon Clopton enters his first season as an assistant wrestling coach at Cloud County Community College in 2024-2025.

Prior to joining Cloud County, Clopton spent one season as an assistant coach at Davis and Elkins College in Elkins, West Virginia, an NCAA Division II school.

Originally from Champaign, Illinois, Clopton started his coaching career as a student assistant for Briar Cliff University, where he coached four national qualifiers. From 2021-2023, Clopton was an assistant coach at Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas, where he coached one national qualifier and a finalist in the qualifier tournament.

Clopton attended Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa, graduating from there with a Bachelor of Arts in Education and Psychology. A three-year starter for the Chargers, Clopton became a three-time place winner at the national qualifier tournament and a finalist his senior year. At one time, Clopton ranked as high as 12th in the nation at 125 pounds during his senior season.
