The Cloud County Community College men's cross country team travels to the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC)/NJCAA Region 6 Championships Friday, October 30 at The Ollie in El Dorado, Kansas. The men's 8k race will begin at 11 am.

The Cloud County men's cross country team wrapped up the regular season with a ninth place finish at the 2026 Fort Hays State University Tiger Open at the Tiger Cross Country Course in Hays, Kansas on October 10. Freshman Santiago Del Moral led the pack in 25:32.6 to finish 21st individually. Sophomore Davis Miltner crossed the line in 27:38.1 to place 88th overall. Freshman Chevhoun Connolly placed 94th with a time of 27:51.9. Sophomore Nicholas Johnson finished 106th with a time of 28:42.9, while freshman Maiwand Mohammad Rasool placed 111th with a time of 29:32.5.

The T-Birds are ranked No. 21 in the Week 3 edition of the 2026 NJCAA Division I Men's Cross Country National Coaches' Poll, released by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Last year, the Cloud County men's cross country team opened postseason competition at the KJCCC/NJCAA Region 6 Championships in Colby, Kansas. The T-Birds finished in sixth place in NJCAA Region 6 and fifth place in Division I, matching their same team placing from the 2024 conference championship race in Winfield, Kansas.

Teams set to compete with Cloud County in the KJCCC/Region 6 Championship race include Allen, Dodge City, Barton, Fort Hays Tech Northwest, Butler, Garden City, Highland, Coffeyville, Hutchinson, Colby, Neosho, Cowley and Pratt.

Black Squirrel Timing will be serving as the official timing company (Live Results) while the KJCCC Sports Network will have a live stream courtesy of Butler Creative Television (Live Stream).
