The Cloud County Community College wrestling team crept up in the latest edition of the NJCAA Wrestling Rankings. The team is now No. 22 in the second poll, which was released on Monday, January 13.
Previously, Cloud County was ranked No. 24 in the NJCAA Wrestling Rankings.
Sophomore
Macallistair Chambers is ranked No. 6 overall in the 174 pound weight class. Chambers registered two second place finishes and one third place finish at early season tournaments in November and December. This past weekend, Chambers finished 3-2 at the 2025 National Junior College Athletic Association Coaches Association Duals, hosted by Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College in Miami, Oklahoma. Chambers' victories included a 17-2 technical fall over Asa Pierce of Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa, and a 7-2 decision over Dustin Rhoades of Northwest College.
Cloud County opens its Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference dual slate on Wednesday, January 15 in Parsons, Kansas. The T-Birds face No. 9 Pratt in a dual at 3 pm. Cloud County will immediately with a dual against No. 13 Labette at 4:30 pm.
