The Cloud County Community College wrestling team went 2-2 at the Loosbrock Duals, hosted by Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas on Friday, November 8.
The No. 11 ranked T-Birds lost its opening dual to the Quincy University Hawks, 43-4. Sophomore
Macallistair Chambers recorded the only win for the T-Birds, scoring an 11-3 major decision over Dalton Schell at 174 lbs.
Cloud County then downed Colby Community College, 30-21. Freshman
Lukas Zodrow, 149 lbs., and freshman
Micah Cauthers, 184 lbs., each had a first period fall. Freshman
Carlos Almanza picked up a second period pin at 157 lbs. Sophomore
Gabriel Bailey, 165 lbs., had a technical fall win over Kash Alley, 17-1. Sophomore
Nolan Bradley, 125 lbs., beat Hunter Sanchez by a 12-2 major decision, while sophomore
Easton Boone scored an 8-1 decision over Dorian Franklin at 174 lbs.
The T-Birds fell to Benedictine College, 34-17. Zodrow recorded another first period fall over Kanon Branch. Chambers notched a 7-6 decision over Isaac Kauffman. Freshman Micah Rodrigues took an 11-10 decision over Charles Easterling at 133 lbs., and sophomore
Daniel Vines picked up a win by technical fall over Brayden Johnson, 21-4, at 141 lbs.
Cloud County wrapped up the day with a 45-9 win over Bethany College. Boone and Vines each had pins in the dual. Rodriques, freshman
