Cloud cross country finishes season strong at NJCAA Half Marathon

TOPEKA, Kansas — Four members of the Cloud County Community College cross country teams competed on Saturday at the NJCAA Half Marathon, hosted at Lake Shawnee in Topeka.

The Cloud County men's team finished third overall thanks to a pair of top-10 finishes from sophomores Thobile Mosito and Moses Dirane.

Mosito paced the T-Birds with a sixth-place finish, crossing the finish line in a time of 1:11:24.1, while Dirane was close behind in eighth place (1:11:44.7).

Cloud freshman Burke Deters added a top-30 finish, as well, as he placed 28th with a time of 1:19:27.8.

The T-Birds' lone female competitor, sophomore Thandeka Manzana, closed out her cross country career at Cloud County with a 22nd-place finish with a time of 1:37:34.9.
