Cloud men's team records another third-place finish at Papa John's Invitational

EMPORIA, Kansas — The Cloud County Community College cross country teams were in action Friday evening at the Papa John's Invitational, hosted by Emporia State University.

Sophomore runners Moses Dirane and Thobile Mosito continued their sensational seasons as the duo finished second and third overall, respectively, to lead the men's team to a third-place finish. Cloud County finished just behind KJCCC foe Butler Community College and event hosts Emporia State.

Dirane posted a time of 25:33.66 in the 8K, while Mosito crossed the finish line in 25:48.66.

Freshman Longins Kouri added another top-25 finish for the T-Birds, placing 24th overall out of 138 runners with a mark of 28:26.04.

Sophomore Thandeka Manzana paced the Cloud women's team with a 47th-place finish (22:17.58).

The T-Birds will now get ready for the Lucian Rosa Invitational next Saturday in Somers, Wisconsin.
