CONCORDIA, Kansas — The Cloud County Community College softball team wrapped up its first year of participating in the Christmas for Kids Toy Drive on Tuesday, which netted 30 toys to be donated to the children in the care of Saint Francis Community Services' programs.

Cloud softball led the promotional efforts of the sports-themed toy drive, which accepted donations from November 16 through December 12, by posting flyers around campus and approaching local Concordia businesses about contributing to the cause.

"It was a great opportunity for our team to give back to our community," said Cloud County assistant coach, Madi Bryant. "We will continue to stay connected with St. Francis and look forward to helping out with the Christmas for Kids Toy Drive again next year."
