CONCORDIA, Kansas — The Cloud County Community College softball team is doing its part to bring cheer to area youths during the holiday season as the T-Birds are leading the efforts for the 2017 Christmas for Kids Toy Drive, benefiting the children in the care of Saint Francis Community Services' programs.
"We wanted to get involved with this project because it is the season of giving and we wanted to do something for kids a little less fortunate than we are," said Cloud County assistant softball coach, Madi Bryant. "I think it will be a great lesson for our girls to give back."
The toy drive, which runs from November 16 through December 12, will be sports-themed. Participants are asked to donated any kind of new or used sport ball, athletic equipment, team apparel such as jerseys, t-shirts and hats, and team merchandise like lunch boxes, blankets and water bottles to name a few.
Donated items may be dropped off inside the Student Union on the Cloud County Community College campus, located at 2221 Campus Drive in Concordia, Kansas.
Questions regarding the toy drive may be directed to Bryant via phone at (785)-243-1435 ext. 339.
