Cloud men's track team has seven athletes earn NJCAA Track and Field Coaches Association Academic All-American

CONCORDIA, Kansas — This week, the NJCAA Track and Field Coaches Association announced the recipients of Academic All-American certificates for the 2017 spring semester, as well as individual and team All-American rankings.

The Cloud County Community College men's track and field team earned a spot on the Academic All-Scholar team list with a grade point average of 3.543. A minimum of 10 student-athlete nominations were required to be ranked as a team. 

The 3.543 mark for Cloud County was the fifth best GPA among qualified teams, edging out fellow Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) member, Coffeyville Community College (3.490). Lansing Community College finished with the best GPA in the country at 3.878.

Individually, seven different T-Birds received Academic All-American certificates, which required a GPA of 3.40 or higher.
