Cloud County soccer programs to host a youth indoor soccer tournament on Dec. 15

CONCORDIA, Kansas — The Cloud County Community College soccer programs has announced plans for the first Thunderbirds Winter Blast; a co-ed youth indoor soccer tournament set for 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 15.

The tournament is open to three different age groups: 6-7 year olds, 8-9 year olds and 10-12 year olds.

Interested parties are asked to register as a team, with a cap of six players per team. The registration fee is $50 and the deadline to sign up is Friday, December 7 due to limited space. Checks can be made payable to CCCC Soccer.

Each tournament game will feature two, 12-minutes halves of 4-on-4 soccer with no goalkeepers. All registered teams will be guaranteed at least three game, with first-place winners in each age division will received t-shirts.

Registration forms can be found at Concordia Elementary School, the Concordia Recreation District, or online through the Cloud County athletic website www.cloudtbirds.com by clicking on the "Thunderbirds Winter Blast" tab located on the men's and women's soccer team pages.
