Feliphe Pasetto de Souza wins KJCCC Player of the Week

CONCORDIA, Kansas — This week, the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference announced that Cloud County Community College sophomore Feliphe Pasetto de Souza has won KJCCC Player of the Week.

It is the first Player of the Week award of Pasetto de Souza's career.  Fellow sophomore Charles Albuquerque won the KJCCC Player of the Week award this week, as well, to give Cloud County a clean sweep of the conference weekly awards.

Pasetto de Souza earned the award for tallying his first two goals of the season last week, as well adding a pair of assists, to help the T-Birds to KJCCC West victories over Pratt and Garden City. In addition to providing an offensive lift, the defenseman helped anchor a Cloud County back row that has now posted shutouts in four of the last five games.

Since they won the conference awards, both Albuquerque and Pasetto de Souza will automatically be nominated for the NJCAA DI award.

Cloud County will be back in action Saturday evening when it hosts rival Barton Community College at 8 p.m. inside Harold M. Clark Stadium. The women's game kicks off at 6 p.m.
