CONCORDIA, Kansas — On Thursday, the Cloud County Community College baseball program announced the dates for a pair of summer youth camps; the Junior T-Bird Skills Camp and Future T-Bird Skills Camp.
The Junior T-Bird Skills Camp is open to 7-9 year olds and will be held from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. on June 27-28 at the Concordia Sports Complex.
Registration costs $40 per participant and will be capped at the first 50 registrations.
As for the Future T-Bird Camp, open to ages 10-12, it will be held the following Monday and Tuesday (July 2-3) from 9 a.m.-11:45 a.m. at the Concordia Sports Complex.
The registration fee for the Future T-Bird Skills Camps is $50 per participant and the camp will be capped at the first 60 registrations.
Each camp will focus on the fundamentals of the game with an emphasis on hitting, bunting and baserunning. Campers will received a combination of individual instruction from the Cloud County coaching staff, current T-Bird players, as well as area baseball coaches and players.
The camps will also focus on drill progressions and feature exciting competition with prizes awarded to competition winners.
All participants will received a free Cloud County Baseball t-shirt with their registration.
In the event of inclement weather, the camps will be moved to the indoor Dunning-Hamel Baseball Training Facility, located on the Cloud County Community College campus.
